Big thank you to everyone who participated in the Global Hair-raiser Family Fun Day. With Gift-Aid we raised around £900!!

Prayer, tears, laughter & food – the Women’s Prayer Lunch in July will be at Tessa’s house, 25 Stillness Road, SE23, Wednesdays from 1 – 3 pm. Everyone welcome, with or without children (020 8314 5523).

Bear Cubs volunteer wanted – (Bear Cubs is The Bear’s Parent & Toddler Group). If you have some spare hours on a Monday & Friday morning and would like to spend it in the company of under 5’s and parents then why not become a volunteer? We need your help with tea’s & coffee making, arts & crafts and general chatting to people. You will need to undergo a CRB check. Fantastic News – Bear Cubs has been awarded a further £8,000 from Lewisham council as part of this year’s funding! This is an answer to prayer and means we will no longer have to spread our resources so thinly. Thank you for your prayers and support.

The Bear Church Weekend – July 17-19 2009 at High Leigh Conference Centre, Hertfordshire (www.cct.org.uk) - The first opportunity in a very long time to spend a weekend away worshipping and hearing from God in the company of friends and family from The Bear. This Sunday is the London Marathon. Come to The Bear anytime between 9 am & 1 pm and lets bless Deptford. We will be cheering the runners on, giving out balloons and inviting people to hang out in The Bear with us for a free tea or coffee and a slice of cake. 1. Bear Notices
This Sunday is Easter Sunday and there will be just ONE service in the morning at 11 am. Come and celebrate Easter with us and enjoy some bread & salmon (the resurrection breakfast).

Lost Property – Is your child cold? There are a few items of child’s clothing in the lost property box, along with a few Bibles, a pair of shoes, umbrellas & if you are a lady who wears size 14 you could even make an entire outfit out of what’s been left! Come and have a look. The box will be in the Prayer Room upstairs.

The Bear Café will be closed for its Easter holidays from Good Friday (21st) & will re-open on Monday 31 March.

There will be no Bear Cubs on Good Friday & Easter Monday (24th). It will be on again on Friday 28 March, despite The Bear Café being closed.

Fellowship Meeting on Wednesday 26 March, 8 pm at The Bear. Lent is over so we will be having lots of chocolate! Bring some to share eg, a dark, white, milk, a chocolate fondue, a chocolate cake.
